ManufacturerOBREO Year2013 ObservationsWalnut processing line: Production from 1,200 to 2,000 kg/hour. Composed of: Reception hopper: Hopper where the harvested crop is poured. This crop comes directly from the tree and may contain stones, sticks and other waste, which will be filtered as it advances through the processing system. Elevator conveyor to the first trommel: Elevator conveyor that transports the crop deposited in the reception hopper to the first trommel. All conveyors in the processing system are equipped with motors of 0.75 and 0.9 kW. First trommel and its fan: This is the first trommel, used to filter the crop and separate the walnuts from leaves and lighter residues, supplying high-speed air by means of the fan. Inside the metal casing is the trommel. Walnut sorting trommel 950 × 1,500 with 25 mm perforations. Fan: Fan of the first trommel that supplies high-speed air to blow the walnuts and separate empty walnuts and lightweight residues from the rest. Conveyor belt that removes the leaves: Conveyor belt that, in the first trommel, once the crop has been blown and separated from leaves and lighter residues, transports these residues out of the processing system. Conveyor belt model CTL-400 of 9,500 × 400, with smooth belt, folded sheet metal chassis with scraper and full-length cover plus angled discharge collector to remove material from the de-stemming and leaf cleaning unit. Trommel: As the crop advances through the trommel, as it rotates, it removes remaining husk residues and light sticks. Both the trommel and the huller have 3 and 3.6 kW of power. Conveyor belt that transports the walnuts to the huller: This conveyor belt carries the walnuts from the first filtering stage in the first trommel with fan to the second trommel where the walnuts are finally hulled and filtered. Huller: The crop is discharged into the huller. It is a trommel that, when rotating, separates the green husk and the remaining waste from the walnut. Screw conveyor: Screw conveyor that expels the residues filtered after the crop passes through the huller, out of the processing system. Selection conveyor belt: Conveyor belt that collects the filtered crop, leaving only the walnuts. On this belt the ripe walnuts are selected and separated from those that are still green. These ripe walnuts will be transported to the dryers, where they will be stored for drying. Elevator conveyor to the dryers: Elevator conveyor that transports the crop after the filtering process to the dryers. Dryers: Dryers where, once filtered, the walnuts are stored for drying. The storage capacity of the dryers is 12,000 kg each. Conveyor belt to the winnower: Conveyor belt that, once the drying process has finished, collects the walnuts from the dryers and conveys them to the winnower. Elevator and winnower: Elevator conveyor that feeds into the winnower which, by blowing hot air, filters out empty walnuts. Heater: Heater control panel used to control the temperature, intensity and drying times of the walnuts. Final conveyor belt: Conveyor belt that carries the walnuts, after removing the empty walnuts and once fully filtered, to the elevator conveyor that will feed them into the grader so that they are separated by size and prepared for packaging and final processing for market release. Final elevator conveyor: This elevator conveyor transports the walnuts to the grader, lifting them to enter through the upper part in order to proceed with size grading. Grader: Once the harvested product has been completely filtered and only the walnuts remain, they enter the grader, which separates the walnuts by size using screens. Packaging machine: Once the walnuts are separated by size, this machine is used to package the product. Scale: Scale used to prepare the product in packages by kilograms. Air Power compressor 3 HP 200 L.
