Description
1. Start of the process: introduction of the materials into the painting chain via the
hitches.
The maximum weight of a part, currently, must not exceed 280 kg per piece. Being the
piece size of 6,700 mm*1,600 mm*800 mm and in some cases, depending on the type of
pieces can reach a length of 7,200 mm, a height of 1,900 mm, and a depth of 900 mm.
2. Pretreatment tunnel: consists of three stages: I degreasing + phosphating II washing III washing
+ passivation. Its purpose is to degrease the surfaces of metal parts and coat them
from a primer of chemicals that facilitate paint adhesion,
acquiring a greater degree of protection.
3. Drying oven: removes moisture from the metallic materials from the previous stage, thus
like any residual impurity. The part is heated to improve paint application to
through forced convection system.
4. Painting booths: powder coating is applied in the chosen color via loading
electrostatics. This application is carried out with automated robots (3 + 3 reciprocator)
guns, year 2021), with all parts touched up manually (2 manual guns). The
composition of coating with solid thermosetting resins free of solvents
allows that, after a heat treatment, it achieves finishing characteristics,
adhesion, corrosion resistance, durability, etc. much higher than the processes of
conventional painting.
5. Polimerization oven: the coated parts enter through a furnace in the shape of
bellows or with air curtains for about ten minutes, to prevent heat dispersion.
Generally the paint cures at around 200°C. The parts must be free from
foam and/or silicones, as well as any other material that cannot withstand that temperature
6. Discharge area
All this process takes place along 180 meters of air conveying chain of the
brand Düotechnik reinforced and updated in 2018.
