The process consists of the use of high-pressure water jets from the bottom upwards which, acting against the bottom opportunely fixed to treads, allow the deformation of the material and therefore the desired depth of the bottom to be obtained. A series of hydraulic pistons keep the treads fixed to the bottom, developing a total load of approximately 1,500 tons, guaranteeing, with a system of special protections, against the filtration of liquid at high pressure.
